World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 whenever you can.
In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a problem in that it could make the item more expensive, even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player continuously enters or leaves the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is very useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
item upgrading of items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
